
Background
The Caribbean Training and Education Center for Health (C-TECH) is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) registered in Jamaica since 2020. Prior to this, C-TECH operated for 18 years as the Caribbean office of the International Training and Education Center for Health (I-TECH) at the University of Washington (UW). C-TECH promotes innovative, locally-driven, and effective programs to address HIV epidemics, non-communicable diseases, and other emerging health challenges. Its highly qualified team of clinicians, academics, and professionals has been collaborating with Ministries of Health across the Caribbean, as well as other entities, to provide technical assistance and capacity-strengthening support, including for health facilities throughout Jamaica.
C-TECH implements a diverse range of programmes designed to strengthen health systems and improve service delivery. These include, quality improvement initiatives, clinical mentoring programs, telementoring through a community of practice, digital health interventions, mental health and psychosocial services, eLearning via their Learning Management System (LMS), strategic information and epidemiology.
Position Overview
The Regional Clinical Mentor will work closely with the C-TECH Directors, and the C-TECH Technical Advisor to support the provision of technical assistance at HIV care and treatment facilities that provide comprehensive, quality care to people living with HIV and, in particular, to members of key population groups (MSM, transgender women and sex workers).
