C-TECH Supports UNFPA Handover of Emergency Reproductive Health Kits in Jamaica

Kingston, Jamaica โ€“ April 1, 2026 โ€” The Caribbean Technical Assistance and Education Centre for Health (C-TECH), as an implementing partner to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), participated in the handover of Dignity Kits and Inter-Agency Reproductive Health (IARH) Kits to strengthen Jamaicaโ€™s emergency maternal and reproductive health response.

The ceremony, held at the Jamaica Conference Centre, brought together partners including the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW), Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), the Bureau of Gender Affairs and other GBV stakeholders.

The kits will support safe deliveries and emergency obstetric care, ensuring access to essential, life-saving services, particularly for vulnerable populations.

Mrs. Georgia Simmonds represented C-TECH at the ceremony. Deliveries were highlighted through remarks from key partners, including Hon. Krystal Lee, State Minister in the Ministry of Health and Wellness.

This initiative reflects the continued commitment of C-TECH and partners to strengthen resilient, responsive health systems across Jamaica and the Caribbean
